Graduate School Planning: September Update!

*I am still in the process of applying to graduate school. As follows is information on how I am handling this process, but until I actually am accepted into a PhD program all of this is more of a journal entry than a guide. I am NOT an admissions expert for graduate school, just sharing [...]

A week ago I passed my oral qualifying exams and I am now a PhD candidate. This is a pretty big achievement in the journey of a PhD but to be frank it feels weird to celebrate it. I lost my sense of self and slipped into a depressive episode I naively thought I would never be susceptible too. It’s been the longest winter of my life.
We went to Austin to run but shifted focus to eating as many breakfast tacos as possible 🤠
26 was the best year of my life. Hands down. Seems like they keep doing that, getting better and better. I like it :) Big love to everyone who made me feel so damn special for this bday. Now for more silly joy in this 27th year!!
