UC Santa Barbra has around 22,000 undergraduate students, and about 18,000 registered bicycles. The campus is flat and vast. A bike is a must.
My dad and I just finished working on my fixie this weekend and I love the way it turned out.
We rewrapped the handlebars, replaced the chain, recoated the aluminum with a clear sealant, and fixed the tires. The bike is a repurposed schwinn road bike my brother had a couple years ago. I do have another bike, a beach cruiser, but on bike campuses they are generally not liked because of their wide handle bars which take up most of the lane. 
College cant come faster and I am so ecstatic to bring this beauty.
