Since I stepped into my role as spirit commissioner in high school, I knew I had a knack for spreading positive energy and motivating people through stories.
I cater my speeches and seminars to meet the needs of each audience. I center around two themes:
Oceanography and ocean science. How do we study the ocean? What do we know about the blue unknown? I love sharing stories and inspiring wonder in the ocean.
Finding your passion. A dream job doesn’t fall into your lap. Where then does it come from? I share insight into making your academic journey into a journey of passion.

Emcee, EDGE youth seminar
EDGE is a non-profit organization developed on the idea of building leadership skills within high school students and giving them the tools to help them give back to their community. I have been lucky enough to emcee this weekend long seminar for the past two years.

Panelist, UCSB Greek Interconnect
Through UCSB interconnect I have been able to mentor undergraduate students in the greek community looking to pursue a PhD in the physical sciences. While serving on their graduate student panel I have given advice on applications, finding the right fit for an advisor, and fighting imposter syndrome in the world of science.
